Q: I would like to forgive myself for something I did that I feel shammed about. How can I go about that?
A: We all do things we later wish we hadn’t or we realize we could have done better than we did at the time. Perhaps instead of punishing or criticizing yourself, how about forgiving yourself for it? Make a note of what happened so you can improve, then offer yourself love and compassion for what did happen and learn from it. Hold the thought of what you are unhappy about, and set the intention of washing it with forgiveness. Also, remember to have self-compassion and compassion for others will come through you and you will find peace.
Know that miracles exist every day. Choose a miracle and experience it for the amazing wonder that it is. Take a minute and emotionally immerse yourself in it. Notice all the beauty that surrounds you and this will help you practice forgiveness. It’s also helpful to say or write 20 things you are grateful for. This will help you find peace within yourself and raise your vibration to be more peaceful and loving.
