Q: My younger sister has been caught in many lies. I have tried to talk with about this and she denies it
A: Perhaps your sister has gotten away with lying and it has become so habitual with her that she doesn’t realize that honesty is so important to her moral compass. She may need to get into trouble so she can learn an important lesson that being dishonest will only lead her down a path of pain as she ages.
What your sister may not realize is that honesty is rewarded. If she continues to lie, she will continue to be caught in her web of lies and it will always come back to bite her. If she can shift her energy to be an honest human being with integrity, that will, in turn, reward her.
You may want to talk with her again and share with her that if she can shift to being honest and upfront when the truth is required, she will notice a lighter feeling as though a weight has been lifted and she can feel more grounded and centered in herself.
