Hello everyone, and welcome. I’m delighted to share with you, in a quarterly newsletter,
my commitment to holistic health, wellness, and healing. This encompasses the whole, in mind, body, spirit and emotions — a journey that I hope you will find enlightening and entertaining.

Use this newsletter to stay connected with current topics discussed in my blog at www.constanceclancy.com, which range from articles from the Sanibel Island Sun, to nutrition, personal relationships, safer skin care, exercise, and spirituality.

This quarter, I’m excited to share the integration of Beautycounter into my holistic counseling/coaching/educational practice. It is a mission-based company, dedicated to getting safe skin care products into the hands of everyone. As a holistic health care practitioner, a psychotherapist, and life enhancement coach for thirty years, I’m passionate about everyone’s optimal health and well-being. Balance and wholeness begins with the mind, body, spirit and emotions, all working together in sync.

Beautycounter is a great fit for this philosophy.

There are three important components to Beautycounter’s mission:

1. Education. There are approximately 1,400 ingredients banned in Europe from their personal care products. These chemicals and additives range from toxins, allergens, and hormone disrupters, to carcinogens and more. In contrast, the US bans 30! There has been no federal legislation to regulate the skin care industry since 1938. In those 80 years, hundreds of chemicals have been introduced to our every-day products, and very few have been tested for safety.

Beautycounter prohibits the use of over 1,500 questionable, or harmful, ingredients when formulating our products.

2. Lobbying for better health care legislation. There is a bill in congress today that calls for better regulation and safer personal care products. Beautycounter has been a primary advocate, such that some on Capitol Hill refer to this as the “Beautycounter bill”.

While we wait impatiently for federal regulation in the industry, Beautycounter tests and retests its products, to insure the safest possible ingredients, packaging, and distribution.

3. Offering alternatives that are safe, effective, and luxurious. To be a consultant for Beautycounter means I am an educator and an advocate. It also means I can share our many beautiful skin care and cosmetic products person-to-person. It is an honor to be a part of this huge and important movement, to be able to incorporate it into my holistic health and wellness practice, and to contribute to affecting positive change.

I use Beautycounter skin care, makeup, and sun care products now, and I am thrilled to know these safe, high-performance products are effective, beautiful and coincide with my desire for us all to have optimal health at every level.

Please contact me for additional information on Beautycounter and our movement.

To your optimal health and well-being,
Connie
